Santa’s Wonderland Inclusion and Accessibility Policy
Effective Date:01/07/2026

1. Our Commitment

Santa’s Wonderland welcomes all members of the community, including patrons with disability, carers, companions and support persons.

Santa’s Wonderland is committed to providing an inclusive, safe and accessible event experience. Santa’s Wonderland will make reasonable adjustments where required and practicable to support access and participation by people with disability, subject to legitimate safety requirements, the nature of the relevant Attraction or activity, manufacturer and operator instructions, and the individual circumstances of the patron.

For the purposes of this Policy, “Attractions” includes rides, ice skating, tobogganing, jumping castles, ball crawl, selfie stops, interactive activities, stage shows, amusement rides and any other activities operated or made available at Santa’s Wonderland.

2. Reasonable Adjustments and Accessibility

Santa’s Wonderland will, where practicable:

  1. provide event information in appropriate and accessible formats;

  2. consider requests for reasonable adjustments before and during the event;

  3. make modifications to activities, access arrangements or participation processes where safe and practicable;

  4. communicate clearly with patrons about accessibility options and any relevant safety requirements;

  5. maintain a dedicated Quiet Zone for patrons who may benefit from a lower-stimulation space to regulate, rest or relax away from the general event environment;

  6. train or brief staff to respond respectfully and appropriately to accessibility-related enquiries; and

  7. regularly review policies and procedures to support participation without discrimination, harassment or bullying.

3. Safety Requirements and Attraction-Specific Restrictions

Santa’s Wonderland may refuse, modify or limit participation in a particular Attraction where this is necessary for safety reasons.

Any refusal, modification or limitation will be based on objective, attraction-specific considerations, including:

  1. the safety requirements of the particular Attraction;

  2. manufacturer, engineer or operator instructions;

  3. height, age, weight, mobility, positioning or supervision requirements;

  4. emergency evacuation requirements;

  5. the patron’s individual circumstances as they relate to the safe use of the Attraction; and

  6. the safety of the patron, other patrons, staff and contractors.

Santa’s Wonderland will not refuse participation merely because a person has a disability.

4. Companion Cards, Carers and Support Persons

Santa’s Wonderland accepts Companion Cards. Cardholders may present their Companion Card at Santa’s Wonderland and Santa’s Wonderland will admit the cardholder’s companion at no charge, subject to the applicable ticketing conditions and event capacity requirements.

Further information about Companion Cards is available via the SA Gov website.

Patrons may attend with carers, support workers, family members or other support persons. A support person must comply with all event rules, safety directions and operator instructions.

5. Assistance Animals

Accredited assistance animals are permitted at Santa’s Wonderland, subject to legitimate safety requirements for particular Attractions and areas of the event.

For safety reasons, an assistance animal may not be permitted to accompany a patron onto certain rides, Attractions or operational areas where the animal’s presence would create a safety risk to the patron, the animal, staff or other patrons. In those circumstances, Santa’s Wonderland will discuss reasonable alternative arrangements where practicable.

Patrons attending with an assistance animal may be asked to provide evidence that the animal is an accredited assistance animal or is otherwise trained to assist a person with disability.
