Weekends and school holiday sessions are our busiest - often selling out very quickly! While we do cap each session to ensure everyone can have a great time and enjoy the full Santa’s Wonderland experience, we do recommend booking a weekday session if you prefer a quieter atmosphere.
-
Santa’s Wonderland includes a range of amusement rides, stage shows, bright lights and large crowds which we understand can be overwhelming for some children. If you require a quieter session we recommend booking a weekday session time before school holidays as these are typically quieter and have lower attendance.
We do also include a few quieter activity stops at Santa’s Wonderland, including storytelling with Mrs. Christmas and colouring in stations which may be more suitable for your child. Please remember if you do need a break from the bright lights, large crowds and noise, you are welcome to picnic outside on the lawns of the showground and return to your session later.
We’ve also partnered with SACARE to develop the Quiet Zone, a retreat to regulate and rest. A calm, peaceful space created to cater to attendees with sensory sensitivities. It’s an opportunity to enjoy the fun and festivities of the event but take breaks when necessary.
We welcome everyone and anyone to take time out and enjoy the Quiet Zone, to decompress, regulate and regain balance in an inclusive, considerate space.
-
No, pets are not permitted at Santa’s Wonderland.
-
Santa’s Wonderland is filled with fun activities and rides for children of all ages, but please make sure you have your tickets with you, ready to scan at the entrance.
Each session goes for three hours which can be a long time for little believers, so patrons are welcome to bring along snacks and food. Otherwise our food village and kiosks have a variety of food and drinks available for purchase throughout each session. -
We recommend bringing a jacket or jumper along as it can get cold inside - especially near the ice rink! If you’re planning on ice skating, we recommend a spare set of clothes just in case you slip over.
-
Lockers are available through the Adelaide Showground in the Atrium prior to entering Santa’s Wonderland through the Duncan Gallery. To view a map of the Adelaide Showground click here.
